LANDSCAPES

Collaboration with Kråkvik & D’Orazio for Kasthall.

Stone, Grasses, & linen. Stockholm Design Week 2021

Kasthall rugs for decades have been defined and rooted in craftsmanship and the craftsman who have made them. With that in mind each piece has been made with delicate craft techniques to celebrate this continued tradition. The primary inspiration for this series of sculptures has come from the rugs themselves and their parallels to that of the landscape; being that they are what creates the landscapes of our homes. The theme of landscape, and the natural forms and materials that it presents intertwined with the inspiration from each rug itself and the natural materials they are made from has been the catalyst for the various pieces. The tactile and textural natural elements of stone and windswept grasses, alongside the natural linen and woollen threads from the Kasthall mill are what each piece has been made from.
