RÅ CUP AND PLATE

Inspired by the ceramic explorations of Cathrine Hammel. Together, Lawman and Hammel have created a series of porcelain drinking cups and plates inspired by the concept of the “Cathrine Hammel  - Everyday Uniform” in functional homeware form. The Everyday Collection are a series of material explorations that celebrate simple delicate forms that celebrate raw natural materials and bring them into our everyday life. The raw, yet soft, edge is reminiscent of a stone-like surface allowing the material to connect us to what surrounds us in the rock-filled mountains and stone laden rivers, connecting and grounding us to the land around us. A series that is meant to be stacked and enjoyed silhouetted together celebrating  their raw and tactile edge.

SERVERT

Inspired by the concept of the “Cathrine Hammel  - Everyday Uniform”, Servert is a series of food serving boards highlighting and celebrating  materialism in functional homeware form. From sensuous and tactile shapes to long beautiful wood grains they explore the individuality and pleasurability of the materials they are made from. The Everyday Collection are a series of material explorations that celebrate simple delicate forms that praise the raw natural materials and bring them into our everyday life. The serving boards are made as sculptural food serving boards for bread, cheese, crackers etc.

KLOSS BRUSH SCULPTURE SERIES

The Kloss series is a collection of sculptural brushes highlighting and celebrating materialism. From sensuous form to texture they celebrate the individuality and pleasurability of the materials they are made from. Long ribboning wood grains from Ash heartwood pair together with ivory horsehair. Objects that call out for you to draw your fingers along and through to experience their contrasting tactile surfaces. A series that plays with function and sculpture for an object to be enjoyed in and out of use. Sweep crumbs off your table, desk, or kitchen counter or enjoy as a tactile sculpture.
