PAPIRSTEIN STOL

Made in Oslo, Norway

Paper and Steel. 2021.

“Papirstein Stol” is a lounge chair made of surfaces of highly compressed paper pulp and a steel frame inspired by the long history of paper production in Norway. The pulp is a mixed pulp consisting of the inner white soft wood as well as the outer dark bark material, leading to its light beige tonality. Paper and steel are both strong but biodegradable materials for furniture that has a positive future in mind.
